ABSTRACT LANDSCAPES

Hannah Mizen is an Oxfordshire based abstract landscape painter.
Her work draws inspiration both from the English countryside and the natural landscapes encountered during her travels around Asia-Pacific and South America. Working directly onto raw canvas, the paintings are created through layering acrylic pigment with varying degrees of translucency. Colours are amplified, inverted or monochromatic; producing a striking and surreal depiction of the landscape, anchored by recurring motifs that play with perspective and form.
